Juvenile Waiver Reformation

Abstract

This paper is looking to address factors related to the implications of processing a juvenile into the adult court system. The waivers were used to ensure that the get tough on crime era adhered to juveniles as well. The purpose of this paper is to determine whether juvenile waivers are being used outside the premise of its original purpose, and to determine if a reformation of waiver policy needs to ensue.
