The lasting effects of internal displacement caused by hurricane Katrina in the city of New Orleans continue to impact violence ten years later. A number of groups, clicks, and families involved in disputes likely to result in violence previously geographically separated have over the past ten years been moved in and out of Central City. The presentation will discuss the successful violence interruption and conflict mediation techniques employed in this context.
