The Role of Communications, Dissemination, and Implementation Science in OJJDP’s Research Portfolio

Abstract

OJJDP is unique among Department of Justice agencies in providing grant funding and national leadership not only for juvenile justice programs, but also for research, evaluation, and data collection. This distinct role affords OJJDP the opportunity to engage in action research to improve the integration of research and programs, policies, and practices . Staff will discuss the office’s current, innovative efforts to improve the systematic dissemination and adoption of research-based strategies across a variety of national practices.
