Thu, Nov 17, 9:30 to 10:50am, Hilton, Cambridge, 2nd Level

Abstract

With funding from the New York City Council and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) of Princeton, New Jersey, the Research and Evaluation Center at John Jay College is working with the Center for Court Innovation (CCI) and many other nonprofit and governmental partners to evaluate the efficacy and outcomes of the “Cure Violence” model of violence reduction. The evaluation is studying the key components of the Cure Violence model, the procedures used to implement the model and its overall effectiveness in reducing pro-violent social norms among high-risk communities in New York.
