Student Perceptions from A Prison Tour: A Quasi-Replication

Abstract

Prior research on prison tours have used qualitative methods to measure changes in student perceptions and attitudes towards incarceration. This research converts the qualitative findings of prior research into a quantitative instrument to measure changes. The instrument was used before/after on three class tours of a maximum security male prison Findings are discussed.
