Job Readiness and Navigating ReEntry Networks

Wed, Nov 16, 11:00am to 12:20pm, Hilton, Grand Salon 21, 1st Level

Abstract

This study examines job readiness training in the context of the complicated network of prisoner reentry organizations. Characteristics of recipients of job readiness training are compared with those who have chosen not to receive services. These two types of former prisoners are examined in the context of searching and selecting different services from a variety of organizations and the difficulties of finding employment along with other measures of successful reentry.
