Racial Trends in Intimate Partner Violence Victimization

Thu, Nov 17, 7:15 to 8:15pm, Hilton, Grand Ballroom A, 1st Level

Abstract

Much of the literature on intimate partner violence has been criticized because it lacks substantive research on the role that race/ethnicity play in victimization. It is widely accepted that people of different races experience different rates of victimization and offending. Therefore, there should be more research on the effect race has on intimate partner violence.
