Research Collaborations and Partnerships on Victims of Crime

Abstract

This presentation provides key insights into a long-standing partnership between NIJ and the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC). For almost twenty years, NIJ and OVC continue to collaborate on efforts that seek to enhance the provision of services for victims of crime and to set priorities for research on victimization, victim services, impact of victimization, and other key areas. This panel will highlight several ongoing efforts, including an assessment of wraparound holistic services for victims of crime and two large projects that will examine the broader impacts of school shootings and mass violence within school and community settings.
