Assessing How Technology is Used to Prevent and Respond to School Violence

Abstract

This presentation will discuss a comprehensive assessment of how technology is currently used in the United States and other countries to prevent and respond to acts of violence in K-12 schools. This assessment identifies: 1) the technologies currently being used; 2) how they are used; 3) what is known about the efficacy of those technologies; and 4) considerations affecting their deployment and employment, to include cost and legal considerations.
