Fri, Nov 18, 8:00 to 9:20am, Hilton, Marlborough B, 2nd Level

Abstract

Criminality is one of the most frequently used provisions for deporting non-citizens from the United States. This project examines the relationship between the deportation process, crime and immigration. The purpose of this study is to investigate the deportation process and its outcomes in the United States. This project is the first of a series of studies investigating the deportation process, immigration and crime in the United States and attempting to elaborate on post-deportation incidents. This project will also discuss the implications for policy decisions and future research regarding this matter.
