Understanding the Impact of Restorative Justice and Community Justice Programs

Abstract

The aim of this project is to gain a better understanding of the full spectrum of the impact restorative justice and community justice programs have on all stakeholders involved. A systematic and synthesized literature review of various restorative justice and community justice programs within the U.S. was conducted. Key themes in the evaluative research have been identified and an in depth comparison is underway to examine how closely methods of measuring the impact or success of these programs relate to their specified goals. Empirical and practical implications are discussed.
