This research explores requests for civil commitment in the state of Idaho between 2009 and 2015. Using time series and cross sectional analysis, this research examines the frequency of requests, as made by police officers, and the accuracy of those requests in comparison to other stakeholders. Moreover, this research explores how county level socio-demographic and economic factors may contribute to the frequency of requests and potentially the outcome of those requests within the civil commitment process.
