Fri, Nov 18, 2:00 to 3:20pm, Hilton, Trafalgar, 3rd Level

Abstract

Despite significant life adversities and known factors that are associated with criminal offending, many students have managed to overcome such obstacles and have made their way to a university setting. Using a thematic analysis of student Criminology papers,we intend to identify student perceptions of barriers and pathways to success, and, perceived protective factors from criminality. Implications for policy will be discussed.
