Working the Stroll: Pimps, Johns, and Prostitutes

Abstract

Prostitution is one of the most publicly recognized crimes, yet one about which we still know little. Particularly, we have very minute knowledge of male prostitution and not much information on the locations of these sexual transactions. There has been a call in previous studies for the expansion of research on the location chosen to procure and solicit sexual services. The current study fills this void in the research as we apply the journey to crime theory to the question of “where” as it applies to male prostitution.
