Previously, studies on homicide mobility patterns have analyzed distances traveled by suspects and victims to incident locations and revealed that demographic and lifestyle characteristics have had an impact on the travel distance. These studies, however, did not pay attention to non-travel homicide cases, which composed majority of homicide cases. This study aims to fill this vacancy by investigating the difference between travel and non-travel homicide cases and the distinct determinants of each of them. The zero-inflated negative binomial analysis and the model-fit test are employed as methodological approaches.
