African American Females from Grade School to the Academe: Underestimated, Undervalued and Marginalized

Abstract

A qualitative analysis of the literature regarding this under represented group as they traverse the criminal justice system. This will include the disproportionate number of girls of color arrested in grade school through high school through adulthood. Questions to include how one reaches the academe as a scholar being underestimated, undervalued and marginalized.
