Adverse Childhood Experiences: Mental Health, Offense Seriousness and Violence among Juvenile Offenders

Abstract
Adverse Childhood Experiences have recently entered the discourse on youth offending and juvenile justice practice and policy. This panel explores the association between Adverse Childhood Experiences, mental health outcomes, and violent offending among delinquent youth. Findings highlight the need for additional research in order to inform policy related to the most vulnerable at-risk youth involved in the justice system.
