Abstract

We offer a snapshot of key findings from the NIJ Assessing Police Use of Force Policies and Outcomes study. We begin with findings most directly related to the primary goals of the study, but this type of large scale project has also allowed us to inform on many additional topics that go well beyond the original scope of the initial proposal. In this sense, there is much added value than just the original investment made by the National Institute of Justice.
