Abstract

It is clear that tides are shifting in police-community relations in the United States. With every tragedy comes a louder call for a new kind of policing rooted firmly in justice, impartiality, and collaboration with the community. This panel explores procedural justice and how using a procedural justice approach in policing can build better relationships within law enforcement organizations and within the communities they serve.
