Abstract

This panel will focus on the link between crime and music in criminological research. Three main questions which will be addressed are: how organized crime supported jazz musicians in the US in the first part of the 20th century; what is the image of women (as victim and offender) in operas; and last but not least is music an useful tool for research in cultural and critical criminology.
