Abstract

This panel will explore innovations and developments in collaborations between researchers, police and policing partners aimed at mobilising knowledge and research evidence to inform policing practices. It will draw from experiences across number of different countries including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Sweden, Norway and Finland. It will consider the opportunities and challenges that attend to the application and mobilisation of research evidence and knowledge in policing. The panel will assess different models of evidence-based practice, knowledge mobilisation and research co-production, the aims that inform them and their implications for contemporary policing.
