Abstract

Rural and farm crime is an oft overlooked area of criminological study, although this is being addressed by a growing number of rural crime researchers. This thematic panel draws together international scholarship which assesses inter alia the incidence and types of victimisation against farms, crime prevention measures, crime reporting rates, community cohesiveness and criminal justice and policy responses. Contributors to Criminology of Food and Agriculture PART I (Farm Victimisation) utilise contemporary primary research in advocating for change.
