Abstract
This panel session adresses various aspects of gang research that demonstrate how complex the world of gangs is. Contributors focus on the difficulties in defining gangs, differences in motives for gang desistance, the social networks of interactions between cops and gang members, and the representation of gangs at YouTube. The panel is organized by the Eurogang network of research, and several presentations include a comparative angle.
