Policy Panel: Officer Decertification in the United States: Directions, Challenges and Opportunities

Abstract

This Policy Panel will address recommendation 2.15 of the President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing, calling for the COPS office to partner with the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST) to expand its National Decertification Index (NDI) to serve as the National Register of Decertified Officers with the goal of covering all agencies within the United States and its territories.
