Abstract

Signed into law in 2008, the Second Chance Act (SCA) aims to reduce recidivism for individuals returning to their communities from prisons, jails, and juvenile facilities through the provision of the provision of reentry services. With support from the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) and in collaboration with the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), this panel will highlight findings from four evaluations of the Second Chance Act.
