Abstract

The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) supports research that brings together academics and law enforcement, is based in real-world needs, and answers practitioners’ questions, to enable law enforcement executives to take action on reforms that will improve public safety and build strong community-police relationships. This panel will highlight a number of NIJ’s investments including the National Police Research Platform, the National Initiative for Building Trust and Justice, and NIJ’s Body-Worn Video Technology project.
