Session Submission Type: Complete Thematic Panel

Abstract

The provision of education is a prominent element of many prison regimes across the world and is widely associated with positive outcomes, both in-prison and post-release. However, issues in technological access, engagement and fundamental issues of purpose continue to restrict these outcomes.

This panel discussion presents examples of innovations and challenges in promoting learning and positive learning culture in prisons from England, America and Australia.
