Problematizing Policing: Comparing Citizen and Police Perceptions

Abstract
Drawing from two different sets of data from a mid-size Southeastern city, the panel will focus on citizen perceptions of police focusing on the intersection of race and gender and fear of crime or perceptions of safety. Additionally, the panel will present police perceptions of body worn cameras and police perceptions of racism, media, and use of force.
