Abstract
Panelists will present new research and offer fresh ideas on four themes relevant to mass incarceration. (1) Why did mass incarceration persist as crime declined during the past twenty years? (2) What are the mortality consequences? (3) How is mental health influenced by duration of incarceration? And (4) what is Obama's legacy for criminal justice?
