Abstract

This panel seeks to present new areas of research related to cultural property crime, primarily focusing on fine art theft and archaeological looting. The social context of art and its importance culturally, politically, and economically situates its international significance and there are a number of issues related to both national and global fine art theft and archaeological looting explored in the papers in this panel.
