Abstract

As the research, development and evaluation agency of the U.S. Department of Justice, the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) aims to improve knowledge and understanding of crime and justice issues through science. NIJ is making the most of the diverse expertise within its three science offices by supporting research on corrections that is innovative and fosters collaboration. This panel will highlight innovative research in the corrections setting that examines incarcerated persons and corrections staff, and individuals who have been released from custody.
