Abstract

This panel seeks to engage a diverse set of analyses that capture the nexus of crime, marginality, and policing vis-a-vis the political realm. Each paper presented explores the politics of policing through the case studies of a heroin crisis, the affect of Donald Trump, prisoner reentry, and, lastly, community-police interactions.
