Female Sexual Offending: Risk Variables and Victim Characteristics, Co-Offending and (Sexual) Recidivism

Abstract

Almost all sex offending research concerns male sex offenders. The scarce literature on adult female sex offending indicates that female sex offenders comprise about 1 to 5% of all sex offenders. In this session, three presentations will be held on female sexual offending while focussing on risk variables and risk assessment. They will discuss the relationship between victim characteristics and static and dynamic risk variables, risk variables in solo and co-offending and recidivism and risk predictors for (sexual) re-offending.
