Abstract

The etiology of the SNAP model over the past 30 years has been well documented as it evolved to achieve strong efficacy, efficiency and reach to help children, youth, and their families cope with disruptive behavior problems. Embedded within a scientist-practitioner framework, ongoing improvements have been developed and implemented to address identified needs. This panel will highlight several enhancements that informed treatment planning (continued care), service delivery (gender-specific) and the associated impact of treatment intensity, and cultural competency to better translate SNAP skills to Canada’s vast and diverse Aboriginal population.
