Thu, Nov 17, 5:00 to 6:20pm, Hilton, Grand Salon 24, 1st Level

Session Submission Type: Complete Thematic Panel

Abstract

The Urban Institute (UI), in partnership with the Council of State Governments Justice Center, has established a What Works in Reentry Clearinghouse for the National Reentry Resource Center website. This interactive tool provides practitioners, policymakers, and researchers with clear assessments of the research behind a wide variety of reentry programs and practices. In the past year, four new topic areas were finalized and a new and improved website was launched. This panel will review the development and methodology of the Clearinghouse, summarize key findings across all topic areas, and discuss cross-topic findings on the current state of reentry research. It will also provide an introduction to the website with tips and tricks for how to use the resource.
