Roundtable: Multi-Racial Coalition Building Between Scholar Activists

Abstract

This roundtable will explore ways that scholar activists of all races and ethnicities can identify ways to promote social justice inside and out of academia. It will explore issues surrounding racial microaggessions experienced by scholars and students of color and ways that academics can address these issues. Lastly, this roundtable will discuss strategies to merge theory and practice with what pedagogical practices that moves ideas in the classroom into the community.
