Roundtable: Mentoring across the Career Span: Lessons Learned in the Victimology Research Field

Abstract

Research indicates that mentorship can help improve career trajectories, manage stress, and increase work satisfaction. In effort to address this important topic, this Division of Victimology sponsored roundtable will discuss experiences as a mentor and mentee in the field of victimology. The discussion will address but not be limited to the following questions: What are some examples of mentoring styles? What makes a good mentor? What do mentees look for from a mentor at different stages of their career? How do mentoring strategies change over time? What are some challenges related to mentoring?
