Roundtable: Advancing Research and Collaboration in Cultural Property Crime

Abstract

There has been an increase in both interest and action in the area of cultural property crime. However, because of the variety of perspectives and stakeholders in this area, there is no means of collaborating beyond each individual's personal network. A professional association could help to bridge the gap between different stakeholders and provide an opportunity for collaboration to advance research on cultural property crimes. This roundtable will focus on discussing whether there should be such an association and what form it should take by looking at current examples of successful collaborations between multiple stakeholders, including government agencies and the law enforcement.
