Session Submission Type: Roundtable Session
We will discuss multiple public health approaches and issues across criminal justice sectors. Topics include: Community factors that predict the provision of public health services within drug courts, applying a public health approach based on fetal and infant mortality review to homeless death reviews, the role of treatment with low level offenders and how to balance that need with due process, health and behavioral health status of victims of crime, and delivering substance abuse treatment in a jail setting.
