Building Organizational Commitment Among Nigerian Prison Staff

Abstract

There is a growing body of research that indicates that workplace variables help shape the organizational commitment of correctional staff. The vast majority of this research has been conducted on Western, especially the U.S. correctional staff. The current study examined how key workplace variables effect the commitment of Nigerian correctional staff to see if the effects of these variables cut across different cultures or not.
