The purpose of this study is to identify spatial and temporal patterns of cyberattacks, which can help law enforcement agencies establish an effective prevention strategy. Geospatial Information System (GIS) technique is employed to investigate the patterns of cyberattacks. Data was derived from the Norse website from January 24, 2017 to February 30, 2017. Data included cyber-attack origins, types, targets, times, IP addresses, locations, and ports. The findings of the current study uncover (1) the spatial and temporal patterns of the cyber attackers and victims, and (2) the types of cyberattacks used. Policy implications are discussed.
