Wed, Nov 15, 5:00 to 6:20pm, Marriott, Room 401, 4th Floor

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to present the evaluation results from three police agencies that implemented evidence-based policing through a systematic organizational approach-Stratified Policing. The findings come from an analysis of data from a comprehensive organizational survey conducted at several points in the implementation that measured problem solving activities, communication and transparency, accountability, leadership and mentoring and mechanisms for reward as well as observations of police practices. Conclusions for individual agencies and across agencies will be made.
