Over the past few years, certain states have expanded gun rights by allowing individuals with concealed carry permits to carry firearms while on university campuses (“Campus Carry”). As with other gun-related issues in the United States, the policy remains controversial and subject to debate. Thus, great variation exists in university firearm policies across the country. The current study investigates the attitudes of Campus Carry among students and faculty. Further, potential predictors of an individual’s attitudes towards campus carry are examined. Beyond the analyses, implications are discussed regarding further empirical examination and school/justice-related policy.
