Abstract

The Routledge Handbook of Immigration and Crime. This scholarly anthology will consist of approximately twenty original authoritative contributions from leading contemporary American and internationally selected researchers. This Handbook will bring together luminaries from a range of disciplines to address major topics in immigration and crime including theoretical perspectives on immigration and assimilation, drug trafficking and immigration, immigration in the context of the War on Terror, historical perspectives on immigration and crime, and the social construction of the “criminal immigrant.” Through synthesizing the foremost topics in the immigration and crime literature into a single definitive work, the Handbook will serve as a ready reference source for researchers and provide meaningful exposure for the advancement of this important area of research.
