The following research study explored the patterns correlated to gender among juvenile offenders that committed the act of animal cruelty. The data set investigated, consisted of 100 cases that were collected throughout the United States within 40 different states over the past 22 years. The objective for the study was for the researchers to assess the data from a qualitative lens to ascertain perpetration patterns and plausible typologies that subsist amongst these types of offenders. The research design utilized to evaluate the cases included a data content analysis for identifying perpetration patterns and victimization patterns of criminality.
