Having friends with parents of foreign origin is strongly associated not only with juvenile delinquency, but also with parental control and family bonds. In this presentation, we discuss the level of openness among youths, their readiness to communicate with peers of foreign origin, regardless their own background. It was found that having such friends is significantly associated with strong family bond. This analysis is conducted within groups of native born juveniles, their peers of the 1st and the 2d generations of immigrants. Perpetration of different offences will be also discussed.
