Abstract

Adoption is different than routinization of practices.  This paper will review the different approaches to training supervision officers with an eye towards how to measure adoption, implementation and routinization of practices.  It will discuss the evidence and strength of different training models, and the impact on practice.  The paper will then compare efforts in the correctional literature with psychological sciences to identify key implementation processes that need attention.  A research agenda will then be outlined.
