Abstract

This presentation will discuss the role technology can play in assisting probation officers and community treatment providers in delivering evidence-based interventions. Historically, case management systems have been used as secondary documentation systems where the individual meets with the offender, takes notes, and then documents his or her work after the client leaves. Instead of using the case management system as a secondary documentation system, imagine a system that was interactive between agent of change and client. This presentation will explore the development and implementation of a case management system that is designed to help guide staff through the delivery of evidence-based practices while capturing data in real time, allowing for instantaneous feedback on performance measures to both the staff and client.
