Abstract

This presentation will cover selected global best practices to pretrial detention. This analysis attempts to find the most appropriate practices applicable for the Former Yugloslav Republic of Macedonia, by taking a global analytical perspective while considering country-specific contextual information. Ultimately, policy recommendations for pretrial detention reform in Macedonia will be discussed.
