Strategies for Surveying Public Defenders

Abstract

Surveying public defenders is made complicated by a lack of clear information on the sampling frame. Who is a public defender, and how can one contact them? We discuss our work to tackle the barriers faced in developing a sampling frame to allow for nationally representative findings on this universe of potential respondents.
